Yes, all of our products are certified cruelty-free by both Leaping Bunny and PETA. We never have and we never will test on animals. In addition, we buy ingredients only from suppliers who prove their ingredients are cruelty-free.

Leaping Bunny (cruelty-free), PETA (vegan and cruelty-free), The Good Face Project (safe, compliant, transparent, effective), and we’re in the process of getting each of our products certified by EWG (healthy, safe, transparent), starting with our Renew Repair Face Serum. All Green Bee products have at least a 24-month shelf life from the date of manufacture. We recommend using your products within 6 months after opening for the best experience.
Every product we make is packed with antioxidants, which are powerful natural preservatives that help extend the shelf-life of Green Bee products.
Yes, with the exception of our face mask, which we recommend using only one to two times per week.
All of our face products are formulated to be used both morning and night, for maximum effectiveness.
To preserve your Green Bee product’s efficacy and shelf-life, store in a cool, dark place.
Keeping your Green Bee goodies out of direct sunlight and heat protects the active ingredients. UV light can degrade the potency of antioxidants and phytocannabinoids — especially delicate cannabinoids like CBDa, which is in many of our products.
This is why we package our products in opaque glass or aluminum: to keep the active ingredients at their peak effectiveness. We also choose glass and aluminum over plastic to lighten our impact on the environment, and because studies show microplastics and chemicals can leach into products from some plastic packaging.
Pro Tip: For an extra refreshing experience when it’s hot out, store our cucumber-rose scented Balance Hydrating Toner in the refrigerator before misting it on your warm skin. As always, shake first!
All of our products are made in California and Colorado in the USA. Our founder, Bridget May, a scientist and former analytical chemist, formulates our products from scratch in San Francisco. Our family-owned partner, EHP, manufactures our products just outside of Boulder, Colorado.

Like you, we care about what we put on and in our bodies – and what washes off into the oceans. We adhere to the Credo Clean Standard™, the highest standard for safe, sustainable, ethical, and transparent ingredients. We avoid the 2,700+ ingredients on their Dirty List™. Our products contain NO:

No, we do not use honey or any other bee-derived ingredients in our products. Our certified-vegan status is proof of this.
The bee in our logo is a wink to our founder’s nickname (Bee) and a symbol of biodiversity that reflects our love for pollinators.
Our star ingredients — organic hemp-derived phytocannabinoids — are grown regeneratively and sustainably by our friends at award-winning Sonoma Hills Farm in Northern California.
We occasionally also source organic hemp from small farm partners of Materia Regenerative in Colorado, which are Regenerative Organic Certified, a standard that goes beyond conventional organic.
Our premium organic essential oils, carrier oils, plant distillations, and hydrosols come from our long-time partner, family-owned Eden Botanicals, in beautiful Sonoma County, California.
Our other favorite supplier of organic, sustainably-sourced, wild-harvested botanicals is Mountain Rose Herbs out of Eugene, Oregon, which is also woman-founded and grows botanicals regeneratively and organically.
Allergens
Potentially, depending on your allergies; see below. If irritation occurs with any of our products, please discontinue use.
NUTS: Our Renew Repairing Serum contains hazelnut oil. If you’re allergic to hazelnuts, please avoid using this serum. We recommend trying our Quench Nourishing Moisturizer instead.
MANGO: Our Quench Nourishing Moisturizer contains mango butter. If you’re allergic to mango, please avoid using this moisturizer. We recommend trying our Renew Repairing Serum instead.
ALPHA HYDROXY ACID: AHA is not a classic allergen, but it can increase sensitivity to the sun. Our Refine Enzyme Mask contains lactic acid, a gentle form of AHA, and since it’s formulated with less than 10% lactic acid, chances of an allergic reaction are extremely low. That said, because products containing AHA may make your skin more sensitive to the sun, be certain you use adequate sunscreen protection for a full week after using our mask. We encourage you to use sunscreen any time you’re in the sun, whether you’re using AHAs on your skin or not.
ESSENTIAL OILS: Most of our products contain trace amounts of essential oils (Refine Enzyme Mask is the exception). We formulate with such small amounts of essential oils — 0.1% to 0.5%, well under the recommended max of 1% — that chances of an allergic reaction are exceedingly low. We include just enough essential oils to be effective: their terpenes act as natural penetration enhancers that help the active ingredients get deeper into your skin, they have amazing antioxidant properties, and they smell good too.
We don't use any gluten containing ingredients, but the hydrolyzed oats in our Balance Hydrating Toner may contain traces of gluten due to cross contamination. The rest of our products are safely gluten-free, yes, although we have not yet gone through the certification process.

We currently ship anywhere in the United States.
International shipping isn’t available yet, but we’re working on it. If there’s a country you’d like us to ship to, please email us at hello@greenbeebotanicals.com. We’ll add your request to our list and let you know when it becomes possible. (Some countries still have hemp restrictions—crazy, we know!)
Most orders ship the same day or the next day after you place them. If you order on a weekend (Friday afternoon through Sunday), your package will likely ship out on Monday. Occasionally, weather or other delays might push it to 3 business days. We’ll always send you a shipping confirmation via email or text to keep you in the loop.
Our packing team enjoys well-deserved weekends off, so we don’t ship on weekends or major holidays. Orders placed on these days will ship out the next business day. Thanks for your patience, and thank you for supporting our small business!
Orders
Absolutely! Once your package ships, we’ll send you a tracking number via email or text. You can use it to track your order’s journey with UPS or USPS.
If your package seems lost or delayed, start by contacting the shipping carrier (UPS or USPS) directly using your tracking number. If they can’t help, we’re here for you—email us at hello@greenbeebotanicals.com, and we’ll work with you to sort it out.
Once an order is confirmed, chances are that our team has already started working on getting it to you. It can be difficult to catch and change an order after it has been submitted, though we are happy to try. Yes! We offer gift cards, which you can purchase here. During checkout, you’ll have the option to add the recipient’s name and an optional personal message to make it extra special. While we don’t currently offer traditional gift wrapping, we take pride in packaging our products with care. Each order is nestled in tissue paper and presented in an understated Kraft box—our version of eco-friendly elegance—so every unboxing feels like a gift.
Returns
We want you to love the skin you’re in! That’s why we guarantee the potency, efficacy, and purity of every Green Bee product. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, email us at hello@greenbeebotanicals.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and we’ll replace, refund, or assist you further. If a return or replacement is approved, please ship and postmark your product within 7 days of receiving the approval email. Once we receive the returned item, we’ll promptly replace it or refund your purchase price to your original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed.
