A COA is a Certificate of Analysis – meaning the lab test results. We test for over a 100 contaminants, like pesticides, heavy metals, microbial impurities, residual solvents, mycotoxins, and processing chemicals for each batch of product, so you can always be sure that what you’re putting on your skin is filled with nothing but good-for-you ingredients.

Clean formulas
Mainstream cosmetics are often formulated with ingredients that we are now learning are not good for us, such as phthalates, PEGs and PFAS (“forever chemicals”). We’re a young company so we have the advantage of ‘creating clean’ from the get-go based on the latest science. We research carefully, develop our formulas thoughtfully, and source quality, organic ingredients meticulously.
VEGAN
Despite the Bee in our name, our products do not contain any animal-derived ingredients, not even honey. Every product is certified vegan and cruelty free by both Leaping Bunny and PETA. Plants are all you need for potent, effective skincare. (Bee is our founder Bridget May’s nickname.)
No Contaminants
No manufacturer intends to let contaminants into their products, but studies show it happens often (see The Clean Label Project). Expedient farming and manufacturing practices are usually to blame. We prove with stringent third-party testing that contaminants — from harmful pesticides and heavy metals to processing chemicals and residual solvents — are NOT in our products.

We publicly share the full ingredient list and third-party lab test results for each of our products, every time we make a small batch. And we never hide behind loophole ingredients like “fragrance.” We use our products ourselves, as do our families and friends, so it’s not only in our own interest; it’s the right thing to do.
cLEAN HEMP
Hemp (Cannabis sativa) is the most important ingredient to test in CBD products because it’s a bio-accumulator. Hemp pulls everything from the soil into its tissues, which can then be passed on to the consumer. In fact, hemp is used to clean up toxic soil and oil spills! We use Sonoma Hills Farm clean, organic hemp grown in harmony with nature using regenerative farming techniques.
