Both of our grandfathers survived wars. Ernest May Both of our grandfathers survived wars. Ernest May, Bridget’s grandfather in the first photo, drove an ambulance during WWI. Kim’s grandfather, Major Glenn D. Stewart, flew in WWII and the Korean War, until a plane crash disabled and disfigured him for life. We’re remembering them today, as well as the many around the world that weren’t lucky enough to come home. I asked my brother Greg, an 82nd Airborne vet, which organizations are best to donate to that support veterans suffering from PTSD, and he recommends @operationmend @themissioncontinues and @k9sforwarriors. If you can’t donate, the #OperationMend Buddy Program allows you to connect with veterans and their families to provide an extra layer of social support and connection.
