Resources for learning about systemic racism, and things you can do
- Jun 04, 2020
- Lilli Keinaenen
As we process these horrific acts of racism, systemic inequality, and the hopelessness of the current political climate, we reflect on the part Green Bee Botanicals can play. Allyship and anti-racism is active, daily work — racism and white supremacy is everyone’s problem, and we acknowledge our role. So we want to start by sharing three powerful quotes that have given us perspective:
“In a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist.” - Angela Davis
“There comes a time when silence is betrayal.” - Martin Luther King
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” - Desmond Tutu
This is our singular call to action for ourselves and for you:
